Bound Pet Rescue & Referral, Inc. is an Alaska non-profit, and 501(C)(3)
non-profit organization which educates the public, saves some dogs that
are in danger of being euthanized at Animal Control facilities throughout
the State, takes some private owner releases, and above all, makes a great
effort to match these dogs in homes where they will be properly cared
for and loved for the rest of their days.
Dogs
abandoned in shelters are not always there as a result of something 'they'
did. A shelter is not doggie jail or punishment for doing something wrong.
Sometimes people become unable to care for their companion. Illness in
the family, moving, the dog's hair doesn't match the carpet or furniture,
having a new human baby, and the death of the caretaker often are reasons
a dog finds itself in need of a new home. Please consider these factors
when considering adopting. A companion is a companion for life!
If
you cannot commit to keeping a pet for its life, consider fostering.
